Anne, you're a treasure! Congrats on your newsletter anniversary. These days I do a good amount of freelance consulting and editorial work for authors who intend to self-publish, and I'm constantly recommending they read your three-part "Common Misperceptions About Publishing” series (I've now also added your recent piece about POD to my list of recs). Thank you for all the wisdom and knowledge you share here!
I’ve learned so much from your newsletter (and your book) and you have really fueled an obsession with how this wild industry works. You helped me learn about it and become a better publishing professional from my home in Michigan without needing to pack my bags and find a too low-paying job in New York!
I’m here for anything you want to write about. I love the day-to-day, but also love the researched deep dives.
I probably wouldn’t have started my own newsletter without yours—so thanks 😊
As an author and book store owner I am continually amazed by writers who have no clue how to handle an in-store signing I wrote an article for Writer's Digest about a year ago. Obviously some of my recent signers never read it. Maybe a list of dos and don'ts for before, during, and after an event.
I also like hearing about what you've been reading. I miss book and author twitter.
oh that's great to hear because I love writing about it!

Very much appreciate the transparency!
I am interested in information about covers, ideas, design, in-house or ??
That's all covered in my book about publishing ;) (https://bookshop.org/p/books/so-you-want-to-publish-a-book-anne-trubek/21467323?ean=9781948742665). David Wilson designs almost all our covers, and we come up with concepts together, along with the book's editor: https://www.workdavidwork.com/book-covers
Thank you for the reminder. I have your book. Barb

Interesting! Not really my area of expertise; I bet there are booksellers who have similar newsletters.
Love hearing that you want to write more of those research-based posts. I've thoroughly enjoyed your historical deep dives.
Oh I LOVE hearing this!
